Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Info.

All good things must come to an end, so the Gallardo is packing things up and moving out of Lamborghini’s entry-level supercar spot to make room for a brand new baby. Rumors swirled about the name of this new supercar, and the final decision was Huracán LP 610-4 and not "Cabrera," as we initially thought.
The Huracán LP 610-4’s name is derived from a fighting bull from 1879. This Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed of bull was unrelenting and thrust himself into bull-fighting stardom courage and strong sense of attack.

Like its predecessor, the new Huracán is powered by a 5.2-liter V10, this time coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch 'box. Output is a stout 610 hp (circa 8250rpm) and paired with 413 lb-ft. of torque, an increase of 58 ponies and 15 lb ft. of twist over the outgoing LP 560-4. The result when combined with electronic all-wheel drive? A claimed 0-62 mph time of 3.2 seconds, en route to a 201 mph top speed.

And we believe it. The LP 610-4 utilizes a new composite-aluminum 'hybrid chassis,' which weighs 3134 lbs. dry. That's just 92 lbs. more than an empty 458 Italia, and Lamborghini has outfitted the Huracán with carbon-ceramic brakes (standard) and magnetic dampening (optional) to better contend against the Ferrari.
The Huracán cockpit is decidedly Aventador-inspired with a busy sloped center stack, flat-bottom wheel, and an oversized digital tach. The launch sequence-style covered ignition button keeps Lamborghini theatrics alive and well (the honeycomb glove box trim is a nice touch, too).

Of course, the LP 610-4 stays with Lambo's love-it-or-hate-it, battle-axe bodylines. It's not revolutionary, but the Huracán's tapering C-pillar, concave rear quarter glass and angular side scoops get the point across. Its headlights and front airdam make the Gallardo look like a teddy bear and, as with any Audi-associated product, there's enough LED lighting to illuminate the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
With fierce, fighter-jet-inspired lines and a full contingent of gaping air intakes, it's impossible to mistake the Huracan for anything but a Lamborghini. There's more than enough muscle to back up the menacing look, with a 5.2-liter V10 mounted amidships producing 601 horsepower at a screaming 8,250 rpm and 413 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm.
